Possibly David Lynch's best film after Mulholland Drive. Takes the cosy soap opera/police procedural/supernatural vibes of the original TV show and darkens them all with a traumatic in depth look at the tortured last days of Laura Palmer. Paves the way for the newest season and is just as mystifying, scary and compelling. Truly a great movie.

Scariest movie I've ever seen. I had nightmares about Bob.
