I don't know what all the fuss is about. It was enjoyable for what it was. It wasn't a ground breaking moment in cinema history for sure, but it wasn't bad. People need to stop taking movies so seriously. Yeah there was no charecter development, but come on guys. It was a movie about an ocean monster. Everyone knocking whats her name, but she did alright. Decent enough plot and acting, cool special effects and a pretty bad ass monster. All in all it was worth the rental.

After reading all the negative reviews, I rented the movie just to see if it was any good... I was honestly surprised with how well this movie was out together. I see alot of complaints about not enough character development, but there is more than I expected and you can start to develop a sense of who the characters are supposed to be as the movie goes. Their personalities and even some back story comes through if you are actually paying attention. Honestly 10/10 would watch again. purchased

Grabs you from the very first minute of the film and the intense suspense just keeps getting stronger, scarier and freakier minute after minute all the way through until the explosive end... very enjoyable and realistic cinema experience with no holes, gaps or flaws in a really cool story line that you never really can get out of until at the end you wake up to the fact that you were living every minute of the story, as if you were somehow inside and part of it...in fact, there were no special effects or animation magic, it seems like this was all live action filming of the real underwater world and I have no idea how the cast and crew pulled it off... a Big 5 Star WOW!!!!
