I can't remember the last movie we turned off and didn't come back to, but this is one. I like that it gets to the action right away, but shallow characters and cheesy lines don't help the audience to care and often break any atmospheric momentum the movie tries to build. It's often difficult to see what's going on with all the camera movement and dark shots underwater, which gives little to look at, too. All I had left was dramatic music and a feeling of "why should I care?"

Lame movie guys honestly it's only redeeming qualities are that it hints at the ancient ones being the evil from below and I'm not sorry but whatever moron who thinks Stewart has any acting talent needs their heads checked cause she's the same boring bland stick figure in every damn movie! Brain dead morons smh

I don't know what all the fuss is about. It was enjoyable for what it was. It wasn't a ground breaking moment in cinema history for sure, but it wasn't bad. People need to stop taking movies so seriously. Yeah there was no charecter development, but come on guys. It was a movie about an ocean monster. Everyone knocking whats her name, but she did alright. Decent enough plot and acting, cool special effects and a pretty bad ass monster. All in all it was worth the rental.
