Psychiatrist David (Scott Bakula) falls madly in love with Diana (Chelsea Field), even though she is the wife of his best friend, Jerry (John Getz). Just as their affair is becoming more and more passionate, Jerry is found dead. David's ex-girlfriend, an assistant district attorney, suspects Diana is the killer, and David can't help but see the logic behind her accusation. But, as the investigation goes on, it becomes clear that things are a lot more complicated than they seem.
