Winner of two Academy Awards, including Best Animated Feature. Carl Fredrickson, a retired balloon salesman, is part rascal, part dreamer who is ready for his last chance at high-flying excitement. Tying thousands of balloons to his house, Carl sets off to the lost world of his childhood dreams. Unbeknownst to Carl, Russell, an overeager 8-year old Wildnerness Explorer who has never ventured beyond his backyard, is in the wrong place at the wrong time -- Carl's front porch! The world's most unlikely duo reach new heights and meets fantastic friends like Dug, a dog with a special collar that allows him to speak, and Kevin, the rare 13-foot tall flightless bird. Stuck together in the wilds of the jungle, Carl realizes that sometimes life's biggest adventures aren't the ones you set out for.

The early wordless scene (you know which one) is nigh-on perfection. Sadly, although the rest is typically great, it never reaches that level of perfection again and so is a little disappointing due to that. That scene though, if you fail to be saddened by the heart-wrenching beauty of a person's life told purely with images, you just don't have a soul... Truly one of cinema's finest scenes.

It is so bad. I wish there was a minus one star. Randomly a idiot makes Ellie die. And when Ellie was about 45 she was crying but it does not explain why. And at the start the boy hardly talks. It is one of the worst films I ever watched,if not the worst film I ever watched.i advise nobody ever to watch this minus 1 star film.

So I'm not gonna lie I love this movie it's funny sad heart warming etc, and right off the bat the first 10 mins of the movie it was so sad and still wanted me to cry, and carl meeting Russell so funny and heart warming, dug the dog being so funny kevin the bird is my favourite movie character and the villian Charles muntz is a good villian in my opinion. Overall up is a sad funny and heart warming movie that your kids should see and of course I give it ♾/10.
