There's nothing straight about this movie. But here's the dope anyway: Cheech and Chong make their film debut in this riotous rock'n'roll comedy, bringing with them the same madness, lifestyles and sketches that sold over 10 million records in the early '70s. Cheech and Chong's marijuana-laced humor keeps their spirits high and leads them to an outrageous finale in L.A.'s Roxy Theatre, where Cheech performs in a pink tutu and Chong dresses as a large red quaalude. It will make you feel very funny.

Years ago, I came up with a drinking game to this movie: from the moment Cheech picks up Chong on the side of the road ("Hey, double bubble!!! Come here, baby, I'll give you a ride!!"), every time they say "man", everybody takes a sip of beer. By the time they're getting pulled over, you'll be gasping for air, trying to keep up your burps lol

My first "for grown-ups only " movie I'd ever seen! C&C's Up in Smoke will ALWAYS be my favorite, along with All the sequels. Next Movie, Nice Dreams, Still Smokin. ..

One of my all-time favorites. I seen it for the first time when it was still in the theaters. I believe that was in September of 1978. Thanks Cheech and Chong for many years of some great entertainment. I'm sure God has special places for the two of you for all of the joy that you have given others.
