About this movie

Upgrade is a thrilling and hyper violent vision of the future from the producers of Get Out and The Purge, and the creator of Saw and Insidious. After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall-Green, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Prometheus) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will "upgrade" his body. The cure–an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM–gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced, and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead. - ( Original Title - Upgrade )

good story line. good reminder about how much control we give to computers and the dangers of having a completely automated society. like the automatic driver. This guy really pulled off the battling personalities it was very believable. so that had to take a lot of self control and talent to switch between the two so rapidly. the ending was not what i expected which was 1. refreshing and 2. there's gonna be a sequel! it was almost like Matrix on steroids with a lil tinge of Saw.

Wow they have not done a proper body horror film in a long time they got it right on this one. I can tell the director was influenced by a film called "Videodrome" but that's a good thing. Very tight well paced script. Dark humor good effects and a lot of nice twists and turns. The fight sequences are incredible I've never quite seen fight sequences like this in any film. Last but not least it has an incredible Dark synthesized 80s type score Any fan of old school classic Cronenberg films check this out you won't be disappointed.

I really liked this movie! Some of the stuff was stupid like the guns in their arms. You can sneeze nanotechnology but you still load bullets into your arm and have to load one in the chamber? Something a little more tech should have been integrated. Didn't care for the detective either, she didn't seem as involved like I'm use to seeing in these types of movies. Like no back story or reason for such drive to take him down.
