Thông tin về bộ phim này

After his wife is killed during a brutal mugging that also leaves him paralyzed, Grey Trace (Logan Marshall-Green, SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING, PROMETHEUS) is approached by a billionaire inventor with an experimental cure that will “upgrade” his body. The cure–an Artificial Intelligence implant called STEM–gives Grey physical abilities beyond anything experienced, and the ability to relentlessly claim vengeance against those who murdered his wife and left him for dead. UPGRADE is a thrilling and hyper-violent vision of the future from the producer of GET OUT and THE PURGE, and the co-creator of SAW and INSIDIOUS.

This is an appalling movie. It is without doubt the most twisted, abhorrent, abysmal, disgusting movie I have seen in recent years. The fact that Google think it should be continually recommend it to me, is without doubt proof that they get things very wrong, or that they want to antagonise me. A.I ruins someone to steal there body and leaves them in limbo. The fact that I paid for this at some point fills me with negative emotion towards the writer and director of this trash!

Starts slow. Persevere through the first half an hour hence only 4 stars. After that it's good. It is low budget and shouldn't be punished for it because they make the most of the money they've been given. The concepts are good and it is a sight into tech in the not-too-distant future. Loved the action, loved the twists. Comparisons to Robocop and even Blade Runner in concept, comparative budget and speed of storytelling, but with so much out there now unlikely to make it as a cult film.

One of the best sci-fi films I've seen in a while. Not sure if it is a classic; but it is simultaneously fun, gripping and sinister.
