About this movie

V/H/S is a point-of-view, found-footage horror film from the perspective of America's top genre filmmakers. A group of misfits are hired by an unknown third party to burglarize a desolate house in the countryside and acquire a rare tape. Upon searching the house, the guys are confronted with a dead body, a hub of old televisions and an endless supply of cryptic footage, each video stranger and more inexplicably terrifying than the last...

This first & , by far , the best entry in the series is a legitimate 'must see' for real horror fans only. Casual fans of the genre & non-horror fans won't really appreciate this diamond in the rough which is really just a showcase for some talented directors like Adam Wingard ( Kong vs Godzilla, The Blair Witch) to indulge their dark side & indulge they do. Lots of really graphic, bloody violence & the stories & direction are on point. Really good.

A bunch of white trash morons are apparently hired by a psychopath to make sexual assault videos for very little money. Then they stumble upon a video of frat boy douchebags torn limb from limb by some succubus from the beyond. I couldn't care less about any of the idiot characters and usually don't like found footage, couldn't make it past thirty minutes. Just no.

I don't usually watch horror movies because they don't scare me anymore. Although it didn't scare me, I enjoyed it. It's really a montage of films lot together, but it works. It was an above average film (a nice break from all these horrible demon/ghost haunting movies), but the only reason I'm really giving it 5 stars is because that first film with the hotel room girl was excruciatingly hot.
