Although I have absolutely seen worse movies than this one, I have a hard time thinking of them. It certainly does not deserve a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. If you like to be grossed out for 100 minutes straight, this is your movie. One scene reminded me of Monty Python's Holy Grail. Both movies relied on a rabbit with deadly consequences. The difference was that Monty Python was clearly meant to be funny. This used a similar device to scare you. Once you have seen Holy Grail, you will never be able to see a scene with a rabbit in it with a straight face again. The bit with the funeral parlor made absolutely no consistent sense. This is the only reference to a sleep-over wake in the history of movies. Characters wander in for no reason, say things that make no sense and are never referenced again. Did they just need to extend the running time of this move? Perhaps he was an out-of-work actor that needed a speaking role on his resume and was a bud of the director. I still don't know why you would chain the doors to lock in the employee. This must be a Walmart Funeral Parlor. Call me cranky, but I get kind of tired looking at low-res, non-tracking video tape after about 90 seconds. The low res feature of this dumb movie lasts for 100 minutes. I rate this movie 1 bag of popcorn and a severed arm. Sorry Tim.

3 and a half out of 5. This one I am mixed on. One segment is very creepy, mixing severe weather with horror but this segment could have been longer. The first sequence plays out where it is creeps on you, then gets very disturbing, then blows up into insanity. Another sequence is action tight and wildly cool, and the remaining sequence maintains it's terror enough, being the last one. It's main sequence plays out ok but could do better. All in all I do reccomend V/H/S/94 for a good scare.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIFYING. One hell of a damn great scare and the second segment is by far the absolute most horrifying of all V/H/S segments. I also love the retro 90's feel to it. As a found footage horror fan, this one really sticks to me and will do so for quite a while!
