Im giving it a one star not because of actor/ actress performance or the movie itself.. I give it one star because it is the typical Hollywood type script.. Had it been Hilary as opposed to BUSH / Cheeney this story would be hailed as a brilliant masterpiece... At the beginning the movie says "TRUE STORY" followed up by " Cheeney was very private and that they did their best to tell the truth..Isnt that the defination of an oxymoron.Cant be a true story when you dont have any legitimate facts.

Absolutely abominable! I always enjoy Christian Bale's work, but, Oh man! This was a real leaden performance by him. Cheney was always more lively than the way he was portrayed here, and while I'd hoped to see the true nature of the man, Bale underplayed the role so sleepily that I nodded clean off before I was even half way through. I've tried to get a refund for the last five hours, but no amount of instruction from Google Play or Google itself has offered me the necessary format to pursue. This is air piracy at its most conniving.

This movie is....good. It isn't 'The Big Short 2.' It isn't a 100% objective study of the life of Dick Cheney, nor the Bush administration, nor the war in Iraq. On balance, by my assessment, it tilts heavily toward truth, but it posits a few theories that can't be substantiated; this is addressed at the movie's start by onscreen text. It also happens to feature excellent performances from Christian Bale and Steve Carell. You should probably see it.
