About this movie

A funny new twist on a classic love story, WARM BODIES is a poignant tale about the power of human connection. After a zombie epidemic, R (a highly unusual zombie) encounters Julie (a human survivor), and rescues her from a zombie attack. Julie sees that R is different from the other zombies, and as the two form a special relationship in their struggle for survival, R becomes increasingly more human -- setting off an exciting, romantic, and often comical chain of events that begins to transform the other zombies and maybe even the whole lifeless world.

I think one of the reasons this film didn't see a huge surge of fanatics when it came out, is due to its proximity to Twilight (it was released right around the latter of the twilight films and by Summit Entertainment like Twilight). As someone not normally a fan of these types of supernatural, teen rom-coms, this movie really stood out to me. It didn't feel cheesy, the story was truly enjoyable to watch play out, and the actors did a great job. It's a fun watch--so give it a shot.

This is neither horror, nor comedy, nor satire. It's an okay movie if you're bored and killing time, but it fell far short of the expectations from the trailer. There's very little material that draws a genuine laugh (even Rob Cordry isn't given anything funny to work with,) and a let down on the big baddies and action sequences. Also you have to take almost ALL of the plot points with a few grains of salt.

I did not expect to really LOVE this movie. Nicholas Holt was in it and me and my Gf enjoy watching skins together, so we thought we'd give it a try. I couldn't believe this movie ended up being a spin-off of Romeo and Juliet, but when I got into this movie. I got into it a lot. It was funny, cute, and even heartwarming. I expected this to be a parody of monster-human love movies (Twilight for example) instead it was a very good story that had me smiling as I walked out of the theater. Very good movie!
