How rare to see a film reach the very best of all that it can be in such an effortless and natural dance of young love, edgey comedy, social conviction, a dash of envigorating action and just a bit of zombie apocalypse mayhem. A masterpiece, housed in a thoroughly enyoable shell of cute romance, flushed with perfect comic timing. And the cast! What a cast! You would have to be a corpse not to feel the onscreen chemistry between Nicholas Hoult and Teresa Palmer-pure, meant-to-be, Hollywood perfection. And the supporting cast led by the virtuoso John Malkevich is enough to raise the dead. Even the musical score, laced with 80's rock romance, was utterly on point. From start to finish this one is a keeper.

A watchable and unique take on the zombie genre. A good, turn off your brain kind of semi-romance, with a couple good laughs. I, personally, barely got through the movie. The acting merely is ok and the romance is not believable until the end. THe premise was about as fleshed out as a typical hollywood movie. I could think this far ahead daydreaming for a couple hours.

I bought this movie hoping to watch it, but unfortunately the video has other ideas. It keeps glitching out every few seconds yet the movie continues playing. ๐ (only on my tv does it do the above.)
