I'll never forget seeing this in the DVD rack and thinking how pathetic it looked, how wrong I was. The storyline, acting from all 3 of the main actors and fight scenes are all beyond superb and yet it's not a fight movie, always an underlying sadness and darkness about both Hardy and Nolte who steals the show. Can't watch it enough

This film was a real surprise. It has decent, but relatively thin story line, in similar vein to classic fight films such as Rocky, however, for me what separates this film from others is the three outstanding performances by Joel Edgerton, Tom Hardy, and Nick Nolte, (Nolte received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his performance). A definite must see.

-ished it crying with happiness! This movie was just amazing. It has become my #1 movie of all time and it's more than 2 years old, nothing will beat this. The relationship between the brothers was so relateable, well not everything. Only some parts of it were relatable and some other parts related with my thoughts of the future. In other words, this was very, very relatable. The final fight between the brothers and their connection growing back together left me crying with happiness. Literally and metaphorically. The first time I cried in a movie and it was an MMA (can I say UFC) movie.
