Only rent this movie if you're jonesin to give a negative review. Granted, it might get better after fifteen minutes, but that's all I could take of the grading ass sound track. The blatant smut and political agenda was like a failed attempt to imitate V for Vendetta. You think it's DC so it might not be good but it can't be terrible. It's bad.
DO NOT WATCH THIS FILM WITH CHILDREN AROUND! The film opens with a rape scene and then the majority of the rest of the first half of the movie revolves around the silk spectre whoring around with multiple guys, multiple times and quite graphically. I stopped watching after they get it on in the ship. I would NOT recommend this movie to ANYONE and wou)would have given it negative 5 stars if it was possible.
This movie does a decent job of bringing an absolutely amazing graphic novel to the screen. If you read my reviews, you'll notice a pattern, but I'm going to repeat myself : Do yourself a favor and read this graphic novel. It's so much more rich and layered than the movie (which is pretty much always the case, because a book can take as long as it takes, while a movie has to fit into a very tight page count for the script to be accepted). Still, this movie does better than most.
