In an alternate 1985 United States, superheroes are part of the fabric of everyday society, and the Doomsday Clock -- which charts the USA's tension with the Soviet Union -- moves closer to midnight. The Ultimate Cut helps make the story feel as grand as a full comic book series. Powerful themes. Very mature. It also got a sequel truly worthy of it when the big budget TV show recently arrived.

I consider this along with Spiderman 2 and Hellboy as the most comicbookie movies of all time. This delivers a gritty and spectacular story. Like a graphic novel come to life.

Doesn't play in 4k and cant get a refund. Netflix streams at a higher quality and its free.
