Eva puts her ambitions and career aside to have Kevin, and their relationship is difficult from the very start. When Kevin commits an unthinkable, irredeemable act, Eva grapples with her failings as a parent while attempting to rebuild her life. Was she at fault? Did she resent her son from birth?

You would be forgiven for thinking Nicholas Roeg had directed this; it absolutely screamed Roeg. Not that there's anything wrong with borrowing technique, but I just kept thinking, you know, Roeg. EDIT: I just learned that Roeg's son was the co-producer. Weird.

At first I was confused where this movie was going , as it jump from one scene to another, however I kept watching and it got better as it went on .

The least you know about it the better. You know Tilda is brilliant: watching the story slowly reveal her character's predicament is chilling and fascinating.
