It explores how the City's inhabitants were affected by, and how they responded to, that calamitous epidemic. It speaks to our capacity as individuals to rise to the occasion, and to the incredible power of a community coming together with love, compassion, and determination. I lived in San Francisco during this time. I recognize a lot of people in this video. I was there. I survived because I was coupled. I'm still alive. They were my friends, I mourn them, I miss them. I was not as courageous as them nor as out as them.
