WORST LIE EVER ON A MOVIE COVER. This somehow made it to renting on google play and we rented it since it had 4.5stars and the cover looked great. COULDNT watch it, tried to fast forward to the good parts with the werewolf that is on the cover picture but it doesnt exist. This movie is as fake and horrible as it gets.

"Werewolf Island" is based on a local legend often told in Monroe, Mich. about a bloodline that had been cursed after French soldiers murdered a tribe of Indians that refused to move off its ancestral land. Woven through the 1800s, the 1930s and 70s, and present day, the story reveals how each descendant encounters Dog Lady, the wild entity that guards the island. Writer, director, producer and lead actor Michael J. Alexander who hails from Monroe, plays a detective investigating the assault of his nephew's girlfriend while the two were, shall we say, taking advantage of the solitude offered by a night out on the island. Though made as a low-budget indie, the film is supported by a cast that includes several Hollywood actors as well as numerous veterans of Michigan-made films. Modest special effects help tell the story but they shouldn't offend the squeamish. Shot exclusively in Michigan, this is a movie you might want to see twice as "you may not believe it" the first time. As long as you rate it for what it is -- a low-budget indie --you shouldn't disagree with a 4 out of 5 stars.
