Wes Craven & his son Jonathan came up with & had the original idea that this was to be The Hills Have Eyes Part 3 but for whatever reason they changed the title and story around?? Also & I'm reaching here but imo they re-visited/homaged this material (Mindripper) when they co-wrote the 2007 Hills have Eyes II together. I really enjoyed this film btw, along with everything else Wes Craven has given us. One of my favorites, if his name is on there, I'm gonna love it
