Sixteen-year-old Libby Wells returns from summer camp to the surprise introduction of her Mom's fiancée, John Smith, who emerges from the backyard lake, chiseled and glistening in the afternoon light. While her Mom nurses a foreign illness in the upstairs bedroom, John ignites a sexual curiosity in Libby and she slowly accepts his awkward, confusing advances. One night, Libby wakes to a piercing, amber light that cascades into her room from the depths of the lake outside. She spots John on the shore, basking in the luminance, until he walks into the water, completely submerges and then.... disappears as the light clicks off. Immediately, Libby questions John's outward perfection. Her suspicions raised, she quickly uncovers his true nature and sinister strategy, even as her Mother clings to his infectious charm.

These reviews funny man! This movie was so well directed I feel like you have to approach it in a different perspective to see that tho . The bad acting , the slow confusing weird vibe awkwardness was all specially done on purpose . If you watch the movie like a book it’s way more cool . The angles on the camera we’re so well done and the long dramatic pauses made the shots perfect , you can see the art . There are so many hidden clues too that all kind of fit together. The movie plot wise was so silly and funny it’s not scary it’s funny !

It´s not that bad! I´ve seen worse lol. The ending is a little rushed but i thought the movie was interesting, i love watching films with mixed reviews, they are the most interesting. If you´re looking for a feel good, normal movie lol this is not for you. If you like non conventional uncomfortable movies where you might have to think for yourself about what the hell happened, then this is for you 😁.

Do not let the hott male lead and his abs deceive you. This is literally top 5 worst movies I have ever seen in my life. I will never get these 90 minutes of my life back. Do not even consider watching. I would literally rather get impregnated by the entire cast of Tiger King than to watch this again.
