The world is bright and everything seems possible, until in one summer night Richard does something that destroys it all and shatters the lives of the people closest to him. Featuring extraordinary performances from its mainly young cast, What Richard Did is a quietly devastating study of a boy confronting the gap between who he thought he was and who he proves to be.

This would've made a decent hour-long television drama, but instead it's stretched out to almost 90 minutes with a plethora of man hugs and countless broody shots which serve little purpose. The actual plot is wafer thin and the only redeeming feature of this film are the young actors, especially Jack Reynor, who is obviously destined for greater things.

An easy film to watch with a basic plotline, although rather slow build up. The only thing that kept me watching was the good acting from a young cast and good looking protagonist. There was plenty of suspense too. The ending fell a bit flat, I could have made up at least 10 better endings. Worth a watch if you can't find anything else to watch.

I really can't see the point of this movie apart from, young drunk jealous, kill the other guy. I was falling asleep. Please save your money !!!!!
