To Jill Johnson (Camilla Belle, The Ballad of Jack and Rose), it was the perfect babysitting job. The parents were away. The fridge was stocked. The children were tucked into bed. But then the phone rings and an ominous voice asks, "Have you checked the children?" Before this remake came out. I used to watch the original film with my mom over the years. We loved it! We'd always tease each other with "did you check the children?" spookie talk. Then this remake came out and we also watched it a handful of times together. Its different and modern but still a very good thriller. But since she passed away, my Mom, 4 years ago. I haven't watched either one since.

This is a horror movie for kids. I remember watching this as a kid and even then I didn't like it. The only good thing I can say about the movie is the main actress is hot.

Honestly I really liked this movie because of the scenery involved. The main actress in it wasn’t bad, but I remember her from a Disney movie where she plays a surfer girl. Towards the middle of the 2000’s we had some good movies out that year. It’s sad how now a days the movies are so horrible. I wish Hollywood would give me money to produce a movie for $100,000 and I guarantee you I’ll have somthing bring you to the edge of your chairs. But hey maybe in my next life I’ll be able to produce movies.
