Yet more Wokesterism... EVERYONE makes personal sacrifices for their family - it's what families do! A predictable rant about how them poor, poor exploited women are somehow forced into doing some unnatural by actually putting their family's needs above their career, oh the horror! 🤣

I enjoyed the book far more as it focused heavily on the significance of Bernadette's disappearance and her relationship with her daughter where the movie only touched on it. As in all movie adaptations of books, details get cut. I still thoroughly enjoyed this film and feel it captured the magic of novel.

The first part of the movie is interesting and I really like the quirky character Bernadette; but it goes into one unbelievable scene after another and I quickly lost interest. The scenery from Antarctica is beautiful, but you can skip this movie and watch a National Geographic special instead.
