Sandra Bullock (Speed), is Lucy -- a lonely subway worker infatuated with a gorgeous man she's only seen from afar. After she saves his life, she's mistaken for his fiancée as he lies unconscious in a hospital. Suddenly, Lucy finds herself in the welcoming arms of the man's family and falling in love with his brother Jack (Bill Pullman -- Casper). The movie itself is great, but this version plays back at too high a speed, making all of the voices sound higher-pitched and resulting in somewhat jerkey movements.

They just don't make funny, witty, and generally good romantic comedies like this anymore. You actually get to care about the characters, and they actually have some depth to them, they are real, and they are believable.

This is my "life sucks" movie. Everytime I need a boost because my life has hit a speed bump i watch this movie. It gives me the boost I need to feel good and believe in things can improve.
