Andrew Neiman is an ambitious young jazz drummer, single-minded in his pursuit to rise to the top of his elite east coast music conservatory. Terence Fletcher, an instructor known equally for his teaching talents and his terrifying methods, discovers Andrew and transfers him into his band. Andrew’s passion to achieve perfection soon spirals into obsession, as his ruthless teacher continues to push him to the brink of both his ability and his sanity.

Anyone who knows ANYTHING about music would give this a 10-star rating. Anyone else, be GONE,. youe opinion does not matter,..."good job" and enjoy your minimum-wage shift at the popcorn stand.

Own this on iTunes but so worth writing about here - pace, tension, cinematography, twists... all in there in this film. I’ve watched it a good handful of times and always grips me from beginning to end. One of the classics - not one of those shallow, eye candy, trailer spoiler, biggest waste of 106mins I’ll never get back moments. Do yourself a favour - get amongst it!

This is one of the greatest musical movies i've ever seen, with an outstanding powerful message of how the perseverance can make us greater, amd never stop inspite all the barrier we could have in the middle. It is absolutely inspirational and man if you like music like jazz you will enjoy it even more, outstanding movie.
