Tina Fey stars in this wickedly entertaining comedy about finding yourself in the most unlikely of places. Stuck in a rut, reporter Kim Baker (Fey) decides to shake things up by leaving her desk job in New York and taking a dangerous assignment in Afghanistan. Far from home and completely out of her comfort zone, a culture-shocked Kim befriends an adventurous reporter Tanya Vanderpoel (Margot Robbie), a stern Colonel (Billy Bob Thornton), and a charming photojournalist (Martin Freeman) to help her navigate this crazy new world. Amidst the chaos, Kim discovers her true strength as she risks it all to find the next big story.

we liked this movie. It is well balanced portrayal of how people, who find themselves in a situation where they are routinely exposed to danger and the dark side of life, use dark humour and a devil may care attitude to deal with their experiences. Tina Fey does a great job in the lead and lets us see another side to her talent.

could not even open the file and see this film to review ... .. money went through though so it was paid for!!! and no way of contacting anyone for a refund.. DODGY site will not be using again and spreading the word ..

Advertises itself as a comedy but is more of a drama with great moments of levity. Every role is perfectly cast and it had me enthralled until the end. Tina Fey is just a stellar actor and the movie covers some great subject matter in regards to journalism, Afghanistan and america's relation to both.
