Informacje o filmie

It's 1947 Hollywood, and Eddie Valiant (Bob Hoskins), a down-on-his-luck detective, is hired to find proof that Marvin Acme, gag factory mogul and owner of Toontown, is playing hanky-panky with femme fatale Jessica Rabbit, wife of Maroon Cartoon superstar Roger Rabbit. When Acme is found murdered, all fingers point to Roger, and the sinister, power-hungry Judge Doom (Christopher Lloyd) is on a mission to bring Roger to justice. Roger begs the Toon-hating Valiant to find the real evildoer and the plot thickens as Eddie uncovers scandal after scandal and realizes the very existence of Toontown is at stake! WHO FRAMED ROGER RABBIT is deliciously outrageous fun the whole family will enjoy.

Growing up with this first hitting theaters and being a fan since the age of 6, I got inspired to watch this again after years of avoiding it for so long. I find that this movie is epic on all levels if not a sexy film. 1. This movie has a mixture of cartoon characters who we know and love from Disney and Warner Brothers 2. The opening scene with Roger and Baby Herman had a lot of references to Tom and Jerry 3. Robert Zemekis, who directed another favorite, Forrest Gump. teamed up with Steven Spielberg, Amblin Entertainment, and Disney 4. The animation in this is beatiful 5. All the characters in both toon and non tune are terrific Only things that this movie should have done 1. There was a bit of redundancy with toon patrol in explaining their situatin 2. Would have liked to animators draw and bring the characters to life 3.How they were able to create and make the characters come to live 4.It was too obvious that it would have been Judge Doom was the villain because they showed from the start that he was corrupt from day 1. Rather, it would have been better if the plot was twisted to where the judge was the sweet loving character who advocates for the toons.

This work of art has a "Marry Poppins" like format with a mature structure, that will make this whimsical and edgy film very inviting to make adults feel like they're kids again. The direction is very witty and strong in terms of the intelligent script. The cast is what makes this film is much fun and entertaining to watch. The crazy comedy is very effective in terms of (again) it's script, it's direction, and even it's tone. It's narrative moves in a very fine pace and has thick clever plotting. As for flaws: It's visual effects and special effects may not be top-notch, but, for the majority of the time they were really good, magical, and cartoony, there are moments when the 2D drawn characters move slowly and a live human holding a cartoon object, which makes this film unconvincing. This film is suitable for kids age 12 and up, and yes. This movie is recommended.

It surprises me how "old" this movie is, with it being so revolutionary in its story-telling that it is somewhat shocking to hear how they actually made it. The movie is still very funny and a great meshing of genres, and it still will amaze you to see the integration of animation and live action even today.
