The film also traces the rise and fall of Frankie Lymon, started a solo singing career, but it all fell apart, and his career was over by the time he was 18 years old.

I am 12 years old, and my mom let me watch this movie. Larenz Tate is really cute, and when I seen this film, I thought he was the real Frankie Lymon. Really good acting, and I will never get tired of watching it. My favorite songs in the movie were "Why Do Fools Fall in Love", and "Goody Goody".
