À propos de ce film

John Patrick Shanley, who created the classic Moonstruck, brings his sweeping romantic vision to Ireland with Wild Mountain Thyme. The headstrong farmer Rosemary Muldoon (Emily Blunt) has her heart set on winning her neighbor Anthony Reilly's love. The problem is Anthony (Jamie Dornan) seems to have inherited a family curse, and remains oblivious to his beautiful admirer. Stung by his father Tony's (Christopher Walken) plans to sell the family farm to his American nephew (Jon Hamm), Anthony is jolted into pursuing his dreams in this comedic, moving and wildly romantic tale.

Great actors but the storyline has been done before so there is nothing new. They didn't really give Jamie's characters depth just that he was a dreamer and Emily's character was a rationalist. Their relationship is very spotty and you don't really feel anything between the characters so the movie is just one awkward mess.

This movie is missing like a plot. I kept waiting for something to happen... or for their to be a real chemistry between the main characters or some real conflict. But its missing all that. I feel dirty for spending the money to rent it. It feels like it was a parody of Irish people and life style. Oh my gosh its bad. Dont do it.

I gave it 5 stars because it conveyed a real life and real lives. Doesn't have a plot?? Life is a plot and one doesn't need a 'James Bond' type film to enjoy what is real in life, not imaginary. The acting was superb and I was really impressed at Emily's singing (yes, she did it herself). Yes, you can call it a 'feel good' story and I ask, What's wrong with that? Nothing. I loved it. Enough said.
