The movie is a little silly, but like all Roald Dahl, it's got a dark seriousness at its heart. Wilder absolutely invites you into his trust, giving just enough to let you know that this bizarre journey is leading somewhere devastating. The music is also indelible.

ITS A GREAT MOVIES AND THE BOOK IS GREAT (read the book before the movie) the one part i dont like is when SPOILER ALERT: they smashed the factory when they were in the elevator but overall it was GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
