In this animated fantasy set on a post-apocalyptic Earth, a good and wise wizard named Avatar fights to save the Earth from mutants controlled by his evil brother, Blackwolf. Blackwolf, who draws his power from horror and hatred, employs war machine technology in the hope that he can enslave all surviving Earthlings in this fast-paced adventure featuring the voice of Mark Hamill.

A unique classic. A lot of folks aren't too impressed with the low-budget animation choices but they do add to the unique character. Bakshi had considerable obstacles to overcome to get this to the theaters and it's worth learning the backstory on this one to better appreciate the cinematic significance here.

It brings up some interesting points and I love the animation. But it falls short in much of its approach to the subject, and the Nazi imagery really doesn't do what I think it's trying to.
