About this movie

In 1973, a spiritual awakening captures the hearts of the Woodlawn High School Football team. Lead by their coach, Tandy Geralds, and fueled by the team's dedication to love and unity in a school filled with racism and hate, the team makes an astounding run at the playoffs, leading to the largest high school football game ever played in the torn city of Birmingham, Alabama, and the rise of its first African American superstar - Tony Nathan. Loved the story. Great movie with a purpose. Never mentioned in Movie awards because of overall focus of movie. I think it could serve a higher purpose to unite common people that enjoy sports, not ashamed of Faith and can get to the basics of we are all in this together and lives do matter.

I went to Banks High the Rival school to Woodlawn and I would say this movie is really good but I'm biased because my high school was in it. But I remember that gentleman they converted long football team Christianity coming to our school Banks High to speak on Christianity.
