People dont realize that 1 in every 200,000 people have a type/form of Scizophrenia but only 2% of those are like the main character Adams with the visual & audio hallucinations, pharanoia, & so on. Its 1 of the only mental illnesses that can be seen on a brain scan. It affects males more than females & in males they can begin to experience symptoms as early as 5yrs. old when females usually dont have any symptoms until their mid-late twenties. Which happens to be true w/ lot of mental health.
