Tungkol sa pelikulang ito

“The suspense is killer!” proclaims Peter Travers of Rolling Stone in this fast-paced pulse-pounding epic of the potential last days of the human race. Former United Nations employee Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) is called upon to help stop the chaotic pandemic that has gripped populations around the world. Lane fights to keep his family safe while searching for an answer to the outbreak before it destroys all of civilization. David Denby of The New Yorker calls World War Z the “most gratifying action spectacle in years!”

If you look at it from a pure action movie point of view its alright. Assuming you can see past the gaping plot holes and characters that make completely ridiculous and illogical choices. If you look at it as a zombie movie (which is what it's supposed to be) you begin to wonder why there's little too no blood in it whatsoever, why well trained soldiers try to refill an airplane during a zombie apocalypse at night, and why zombies run like the exorcist girl. No wonder they re-wrote the script 3 times

Imo, such shallow, one dimensional characters, boring, predictable storyline and overall mediocrity doesn't deserve a place on the silver screen, where it appears so much larger than life and has the unfortunate potential of being inflicted on a mass audience, (not unlike a zombie pandemic). There were only 3 things in the film that stuck in my mind. The first was how it was a waste of some fine acting talent. The second was how awful it would be to be stranded in Newark, NJ, even without a rabid zombie outbreak. The third was how amateurish it was of Brad Pitt's character to use duct tape to attach a knife to the end of a pole. Very ineffective. It wouldn't last fighting off a single zombie, unless the zombie was an elderly one, like maybe a member of AARP...or perhaps AARZ. A whipline, which is a method that uses line to securely attach a fishing gaffe to the end of a pole would be the proper technique. Take my word on this. It works like a charm. I know it from personal experience because I once got stranded in Newark during the riots that occurred in the aftermath of a shuffleboard tournament.

Nobody realized zombies were spreading, despite social media?! Nobody shares mission critical info with anyone on the actual mission. Ninja silent diesel trucks appear from nowhere. Ninja silent zombies hide in areas people have been in for hours without being noticed, until its time for a jump scare and cheap plot device. Doctors are clumsy & can't follow simple steps for survival. World saving mission jeopardized by a bonehead mobile mistake. Nobody noticed what Israel was up to, really? Israel didn't share what was up? Zombies can scale 40' walls but they try to stop them with loosely stacked luggage. Happy family cliche. Asthma cliche. Vehicle won't start cliche. Needlessly suspicion cliche. Happy Hollywood ending cliche.
