Better than the first one, the acting is better and the story is more complex and mature at times. The effects have improved dispite being a bit dated, and I had a good time watching this and that's all you can ask for.

The X-men franchise comes into its own as good and evil mutants join forces against regular humans who want to do them harm.

Easily the best X Men movie ever. Hugh Jackman was spectacular, Patrick Stewert was amazing and Ian McKellen plays Magneto amazingly. Even Storm was pretty good because her powers have improved. I just think Wolverine should have been with Jean Grey because Cyclops is a posh freak. And this is the start of the story where Jean Grey "dies" and the Phoenix is born
