During a rescue mission in space, one of the X-Men's most beloved characters, Jean Grey, is struck by a cosmic force that transforms her into one of the most powerful mutants of all: Dark Phoenix. Wrestling with this increasingly unstable power and her own personal demons, Jean spirals out of control, tearing the X-Men family apart as they face their most devastating enemy yet â one of their own.
A very disappointing end to a series that has had some really good films like Logan and Deadpool, to terrible ones like x-men last stand or x-men apocalypse. It's not terrible, just boring, so very badly acted, full of plot holes and in universe inconsistencies. I just find it very disrespectful to end a good franchise this way.
I... LOVE... XMEN But it's time to let someone else take over the making of these films. Love ProfX, M obvs, Quicksilver scenes, (Wolverine) and already really don't like cyclops which is what you're supposed to do. The rest of it lacks Rogue and Iceman to the point where I don;t care. Oh and am I the only one who's glad that really prissy madame mystique, is dead?
Distinctly meh. I mean, it was kinda OK as crappy action films go, and stays ahead of the level of "I want my 2 hours back", but the acting was flimsy, the plot ropey; I felt a complete lack of engagement with it. There are better crappy action films to fill one's empty life with.
