There's more x-men than just wolverine. How is it that the cartoon and comic book wolverine can go pretty much the entire time with clothes on but seriously every single movie has to have him with no shirt flexing muscles.. yeah I get it, you work out. Good for you.. want a cookie!!! The next x-men movie I watch won't be until I know wolverine is not in it. Love the cartoon version.. but it's like the director has a hard on for Hugh Jackman or something.

In a world of psudo-time travel, WOlverine goes back to before he had badass metal claws.... Srsly, that shot where he tried to stab the minigun, shoulda broke his bones on the recoil. I felt that. Overall very underwhelming. I was confused about the timeline throughout most of the movie, and only the special effects kept my interest. If this was any other series by name, it wouldn't have been worth seeing. Basically no bearing on the X-Men series, with some plot holes (like all time travel has).

I really enjoyed the action scenes and I'd definitely recommend for superhero fans. Usually time travel bothers me; I've even described time travel as "the last resort of an incompetent writer" but they did it right in this flick. As to the sweet mutant action - there were a couple of scenes I watched multiple times, they were that cool. I didn't go in expecting the genre to be elevated and it really wasn't when you look at the story overall. But those sweet mutant action scenes man. Those sweet mutant action scenes.
