The character Jack is relatable and I understand how his conflicted feelings are tearing him apart. His friend Rocky is hilarious, Ed Sheeran's cameos didn't seem too forced and were actually realistic. There's a scene near the end of the movie that really hit hard and I almost cried. Anyone who has seen it knows which scene I'm talking about. The Beatles music sprinkled throughout added extra enjoyment. Overall, great movie!

"The world is full of miracles. Like Benedict Cumberbatch becoming a sex symbol." It's this sort of glib, off the cuff quip that makes you relish the comic genius of Blackadder/Four Weddings and a Funeral writer Richard Curtis. Following a downturn of late (The Boat that Rocked, anyone? No? Not surprised!) he partly romps back to form with a movie that whilst not being the most hilarious comedy around, is smart, engaging and worth seeing. Good concept, but poor for a Danny Boyle film, should have been a lot stronger with a punchier storyline. Full of clichรฉs and not funny 'funny' moments. Still worth a watch, but not the best by a normally faultless director.
