À propos de ce film

In a time where both the past and the future collide, Yor, a mighty warrior, seeks the secret of his identity. His only clue is a golden medallion around his neck which leads him to a beautiful priestess held prisoner in forbidden city. Armed to the teeth, Yor sets off on a quest to save her, blasting all manners of terrifying creatures along the way. © 1983 Diamant Film S.R.L. Rome. All Rights Reserved.

These days, pieces of cheese tend to get a lot of praise and... in my opinion Yor the hunter from the future is definitely a piece of 80's cheese.... but not the good kind. It's just kind of weird and bizarre and takes some strange directions and as a result it's not really all that fun to watch. First it's got Yor fighting a dinosaur then he comes across a tribe of purple cavemen, Yor has all these adventures along with his lady friend Ka-laa and her father Pag. Eventually Yor comes across another village that inexplicably gets shot with laser beams and the movie takes a turn for the really bizarre when all of a sudden we find ourselves with these weird robot guys and a guy called Overlord and sets that are reminiscent of Reb Brown's other cheese fest entitled "Space Mutiny". Anyways the movie ends with the good guys blowing stuff up and flying off in a little spaceship and... that's it. There were definitely some funny moments to be sure and Reb Brown's acting is... uh... about what you'd expect. The script for this movie is just all over the place and I had no idea even at the end what to make of it. To be honest, it's not something I'd classify as "so bad it's good"

This is my favorite film ever made. Yor's journey is a metaphor for the evolution of mankind. Truly an underrated masterpiece.
