블룸하우스 프로덕션과 전설적인 각본가 데이비드 코엡('쥬라기 공원', '미션 임파서블', '패닉 룸')이 제작한 이 심리 스릴러에서 케빈 베이컨과 아만다 사이프리드가 웰시 시골 지역의 외딴집에서 편안한 휴가를 보내려 하는 부부로 주연을 맡는다. 처음에는 더할 나위 없이 고즈넉했던 곳이 현실이 드러나기 시작하자 무서운 악몽으로 일그러지며 과거의 비밀스러운 사건들이 다시 드러나고 집 안의 사악한 기운이 그들을 놓아주지 않는다.

I might consider buying this for $20 due to rate of movies coming out right now, and feeling like I've watch all of Netflix at this point, but rent it for $20! You're joking! That's more than I'd pay to go to the movies where there's a huge movie screen, surround sound, reclining chair, and a box of Smarties. Feels like you're almost charging me a small fee to sit in my own home.

Decent acting, but not much happens in this movie. The whole thing with the house is not really well explained either. The trailer is much better than the movie. I would wait until it comes on a streaming service for free. Not worth $20 to rent.

It's like the writer read House of Leaves, stole a few ideas from it, and made a garbage ripoff. It had so much potential, if only it had actually been based on the book.
