Funny, and genuinely relatable. I grew up in a conservative family and community. I can truly relate to the struggles of the son. I like the message of positivity and being sober, promoting safe space for gay teens, moving away from ugliness of being shallow in the gay community. The comedy is cheesy, corny at times, but I really enjoyed it. The true drama hits me and I'm hoping and wishing all the mothers, parents to truly accept and support their kids on what truly makes them happy. đź’–

A fun story about how a mother and an aunt break through their prejudices and embrace their gay son/nephew. Although it's a 'gay' film, it really focuses on the two straight women who must move from ignorance to denial to curiosity and ultimately to whole-hearted acceptance of the young gay man in their lives. Along the way they make new friends, visit new places and learn a lot about themselves as well. I really enjoyed this film! The sequel is fun, too.

I guess this series is like The Godfather -- great original but the sequel is better. Really nice, funny movie. So cute the way she's trying to find him a husband. Appreciate the costuming and the one liners. Well done movie.
