I never thought Henry Fonda was much of an actor. I've always known John Ford was a brilliant director. Well, a great director knows how to get the best out of actors, and Ford brought the best out of Fonda I have ever seen. I think Daniel Day Lewis is extraordinary, but, his Lincoln couldn't touch this. Impeccable! Perfect movie!

As our nation prepares to join the Allies in WW2, this movie was great - showing the values of common sense, decency, humility, and humanity Abe Lincoln displayed. A classic that'll never go out of style!

It is an enjoyable movie although I did not learn more about Abraham Lincoln from this movie. The plot of the movie involves a murder trial, which may be of interest to people who like legal dramas.
