Beautiful animation, heart-warming story line, and a real tear jerker. I definitely recommend the film but I also recommend you have a bottle of water and a box of tissues nearby.

By the end, this movie had reduced me to a bawling mess of tears. I can't really say why, it is generally a very cute movie that is sad in places, with engaging characters, and not really much beyond that. I cannot say if this movie will have the same impact on your as it had on me. But this movie deeply affected me. I'm writing this about five minutes after watching this for the first time, on a video call with my partner, who lives hundreds of miles away from me. Maybe that's why it affected me. I have a terrible fear of losing my memory. Maybe that's why. If you ask me in a year's time, I probably still wouldn't be able to say what, in particular, resonated with me about this movie. But I will still remember this night, that I sat and watched this movie. I recommend Your Name extremely highly.

Beautiful film. Made me very emotional and attached to it. I would heavily recommend this film to anyone, even if you are not so much of an anime fan.
