This was a delightful Japanese Anime- "Rom Com". I instantly fell in love with the characters and had an easy time reading the colloquially translated Japanese-- intonation, cultural meaning and undertones were spot on. It reminded me of another popular Japanese Drama Film-- "Rittoru no Namida" (1 Litre of Tears), as well as Hayao Miyazaki's "My Neighbor Totoro" Although, I must admit for those that are new to the foreign film scene, there are some thoughts and ideas, lost in translation. Recommended for teens 12+, some sexually suggestive moments, and some cussing. But it is not obscene or offensive. This is a good buy!

The constant amnesia and lack of attemtps to make actual contact with each other earlier on made the story feel like a drag. The story was fun at first, but the tension was built on the amnesia and inability to properly communicate the situation between the two characters too much to where it wasn't fun anymore.

Amazing story that keeps you interested from beginning to the end. There isn't a dull moment, best anime feature I've ever watched including Miyazaki's work. Hats off to Shinkai for another major success! 5cm/s and Kimi no na wa are definitely movies I'm proud of having in my library!
