Damn this is a hard movie to watch. It starts well with an interesting dynamic of a couple with a large age difference starting a life in a run down house. In the second act things start to get a bit strange with unruly visitors and ruined parties. Unfortunately the movie goes south in a major way in the third act when it just turns into a fever-dream. There are some truly disturbing scenes towards the conclusion and in the end it makes no sense whatsoever. Avoid at all costs.

Allegorical masterpiece. Not a traditional horror film like marketed, but I'm hard-pressed to say it didn't shock me and disgust me in its final act. Go in expecting whatever you expect, cause when push comes to shove, there's nothing quite like mother!

Blown away. I watched it without knowing its history or theme. It was throughout a very uncomfortable movie to absorb. The ending came and I sat in silence trying to work out what I'd watched. I then visited YouTube for an explanation. When the context was revealed I wanted to weep. Such an incredible movie which needs to be seen.
