About this movie

Winner of two Academy Awards, including Best Animated Feature. Carl Fredrickson, a retired balloon salesman, is part rascal, part dreamer who is ready for his last chance at high-flying excitement. Tying thousands of balloons to his house, Carl sets off to the lost world of his childhood dreams. Unbeknownst to Carl, Russell, an overeager 8-year old Wildnerness Explorer who has never ventured beyond his backyard, is in the wrong place at the wrong time -- Carl's front porch! The world's most unlikely duo reach new heights and meets fantastic friends like Dug, a dog with a special collar that allows him to speak, and Kevin, the rare 13-foot tall flightless bird. Stuck together in the wilds of the jungle, Carl realizes that sometimes life's biggest adventures aren't the ones you set out for.

Pixar perpetuating society's limiting beliefs about aging. I thought this company was about thinking outside the box? Rented March 2017 - the first time I've seen it. Will not be buying. Was funny in places, tugged a tear out of me (I cried buckets more for Baymax) but... overall, pretty meh. It's a shame to keep passing on limits and fears to future generations. The more people go vegan, raise vegans, work out and follow their dreams, think what a drastically altered society that could be. Aging is *not* synonymous with deterioration - at least not for those of us who know better.

It is so bad. I wish there was a minus one star. Randomly a idiot makes Ellie die. And when Ellie was about 45 she was crying but it does not explain why. And at the start the boy hardly talks. It is one of the worst films I ever watched,if not the worst film I ever watched.i advise nobody ever to watch this minus 1 star film.

Was really disappointed by Up. The fact that the 3 and half year old and the 7 year old I was watching it with got up to go do something else during the title sequence said it all. I was bored.
