The first Butterfly Effect movie was great but uncomfortable to watch with all the tragedy and child abuse themes. The second one was lame. This one pleasantly surprised me, because it was interesting and fun, using the same time travel formula without getting too dark. Very enjoyable.

Just don't. Spare yourself the pain, this is written by a 20yr old, directed by 15yr old, music by 10yr old, acting is absolutely absent of feeling. Has absolutely nothing to do with the 1st one. 1/5
