About this movie

Old aged Unni Mukundan (as Christudas) and Sanika (as Suneyi) return back Orissa and the flash back starts. In the past Unni Mukundan, a young police man from Kerala gets posted in Orissa. He is entrusted with the special duty of being a bodyguard to the Odiya girl named Suneyi (Sanika Nambiar) at Ganjam. The girl had witnessed her mother being shot dead by the local chieftain (Nigel Akkara) for resisting against her daughter being turned into a Devadasi (religious prostitution). The district collector however intervenes and jails the chieftain for a year, thereby offering Sanika a year more of freedom and life. In the present, the reason for old aged couple returning back to Orissa is shown in the movie climax.
