From the very beginning of Table 47 I was hooked. This great film noir keeps you guessing from minute one to minute done. Bar owner Peter Gryszek falls for a married woman with an abusive husband and plots to murder him. He soon discovers he’s the victim of an elaborate con…one he may not survive. What really got me was watching Peter get involved in this con deeper and deeper as he just can’t seem to get out of his own way. You want to write him off but you can’t because he has the same flaws and desires that we have, so he pulls you in. I found myself rooting for him despite watching him walk further and further into trouble town. It was easy for me to see what was going to happen, until it didn’t! At that point I realized I was fooled by the elaborate con as much as Peter was. The supporting cast is a perfect fit which adds to the rising tension throughout the film. Table 47 will keep you guessing, involved, and rooting for the right thing to happen. The question is: will it?

A Film Noir that resonates retro fun, drama & sex of course. Poor Peter makes bad choices in women...hence the drama & sex.. Check out the subtlties throughout the film. Really fun stuff. Make your Table 47 reservations!

Love film noir, and this movie did not disappoint! Edgy, and stmospheric, with well drawn characters who stick in the mind for some time afterwards.Some laughs as well as scary moments. Two thumbs up!
